Frequently Asked Questions About Director Certification

You must be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or GED, have 2 years of experience working in a child care center and reside in the State of Texas.

The course is completely self-paced and you can log in and log out at your convenience. We ask that you complete your course within 6 months.

Once the exam is complete and you have passed with a 75 or above, you will receive a copy of your certificate via email within 24-48 hours. You will then receive the original certificate in the mail within 5 business days. Once you receive the original certificate, you should mail it along with the Director Body Designation form and Personal History Statement form to your licensing representative.
